Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard!
Location: Brampton, ON
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM); Friday (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $20.91/hour
Employment Type: Full Time
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

As a Downtown Patrol Guard, you’ll be an essential part of maintaining safety, security, and public confidence across the City Hall Campus and surrounding areas. This position requires professionalism, quick decision-making, and a customer service–oriented approach to security in a dynamic public environment.
Responsibilities- Comprehend and demonstrate competencies in the City of Brampton’s and Paladin’s security policies and procedures with a strong customer service approach.
- Maintain an open, objective, and respectful attitude toward the city’s diverse community.
- Assist visitors and employees during crises, contacting necessary emergency services as required.
- Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols, addressing policy breaches, safety concerns, and facility maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms and emergencies while maintaining public calm.
- De-escalate crises and liaise effectively with emergency personnel, including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
- Monitor and ensure all security measures, systems, and equipment are functioning properly.
- Provide First Aid and medical response when required.
- Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries according to policy.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with city staff and visitors by providing timely and accurate assistance.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Security Leadership Team or the City of Brampton management.
Requirements
- Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a security or tactical field
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants without UOF/MOAB certifications may opt into Paladin’s pre-employment training program (training cost overed with a 6-month commitment)
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
