Wage: $19.83/hour
Schedule: Overnight shifts (including weekends and holidays)

Paladin Security is seeking a professional and proactive Security Guard to join our team at the City of Brampton Gateway Transit Terminal for a full-time temporary night position.
This role is ideal for individuals who can remain alert and observant during long shifts, handle outdoor conditions, and provide excellent communication with clients, team members, and management.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safety of transit users, employees, and property by conducting mobile patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining a strong, visible security presence.

• Remain alert and observant while working outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, or cold).
• Maintain clear communication with fellow guards, dispatchers, clients, and Paladin management.
• Ensure all site staff adhere to Paladin Security policies and procedures.
• Accurately document and pass along reports to the shift leads, dispatchers, client, and leadership team.
• Complete mobile and foot patrols diligently across the site.
• Investigate and report all security incidents and complaints professionally.
• Communicate site concerns and issues promptly to supervisors or client service managers.
• Inspect vehicles before and after use, reporting any deficiencies immediately.
• Work independently and remain self-motivated throughout the shift.
• Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and demeanor at all times.
• Represent Paladin Security and the City of Brampton in a professional and respectful manner.
• Follow all federal, provincial, and municipal laws while enforcing site procedures.
• Observe and report all discrepancies, deficiencies, and safety hazards, and take corrective action when appropriate.
• Be courteous, approachable, and professional in enforcing all site rules and policies.
• Respond immediately to emergencies and coordinate response procedures as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of security experience or in a related field.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• WSIB-approved First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
• Post-secondary education in a related field (asset).
• Proficient in English (oral and written).
• Vulnerable Sector Check (must be eligible to obtain).
• COVID-19 double vaccination required.
• Customer service experience is essential.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
